Front-End Web Developer & Support Agent

We are expanding our team and have a full-time opening in our Sebastopol office for an experienced front-end web developer with good communication skills.

This position offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of people while helping build powerful web sites and taking your skills to the next level.

Responsibilities

• With your expert knowledge of web standard HTML and CSS, build sites as specified by our customers using the Webvanta system.
• Respond to support requests via phone, email and chat with excellent speaking skills and the ability to break down techincal concepts into simple language.
• Use JavaScript and jQuery to create feature-rich, interactive web sites that integrate with third-party systems.
• Become an expert user of the Webvanta CMS and WebvantaScript.
• Generate clearly written documentation and example code for our support site.
• Perform all of the above in a start-up environment with lots of activity, interruptions and frequent deadlines.

Skills Required

• Expert-level HTML and CSS coding following web standards
• JavaScript and jQuery programming
• Able to focus yet juggle multiple tasks and switch gears frequently.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.

Experience Required

• At least 3 years front-end web development
• Experience with one or more content management systems
