In the past year or so, fonts on the web have been liberated by the combination of widespread support for the CSS @font-face rule, combined with the emergence of web font service bureaus that provide licensed fonts under reasonable terms.
We've written in the past about various ways to use real fonts on your web sites.
Now, to make it even easier to get started, we've built support for fonts from Typekit into most of our SmartThemes.
When you create a new Webvanta site, just choose any theme but Minimalist or Blank and it will come all set up with both a headline font and a body font provided by Typekit.
You can easily change the fonts by setting up your own Typekit account, which we've described in detail in this article.
The setup is really quite simple, and you can add Typekit to an existing site easily by following the instructions in the article. You can also set up any other web font service bureau; as with all front-end code, we impose no restrictions — we just provide some shortcuts if you want things all set up for you.
Note: the text you're reading right now (unless you're using an old browser) is Museo Sans from Typekit.
