The mobile web has exploded, with hundreds of millions of people now regularly searching and browsing the web using their smartphones.

Any website that doesn't have a mobile-optimized version is missing out on much of the impact that it can have for the rapidly growing mobile audience.

Our Approach

Our mobile sites are built with HTML5, CSS3, and, typically, with the jQuery Mobile framework.

There's a lot of talk about "responsive design", in which a single HTML page is made to work on a wide range of devices by modifying the CSS based on the viewing device.

We use responsive design, where requested, to adapt desktop sites for tablets and for computer screens of various sizes. For true mobile sites, optimized for viewing on the small screens of phones, we deliver a better user experience by creating separate pages for the mobile site.

With our database-driven system, we can use the same content, where appropriate, on both desktop and mobile pages, while fully optimizing the page layout, coding, and images for phones. The end result is a superior mobile experience.

We Build Apps Too

We develop both HTML5 web apps and native phone and table apps.

Our mobile-optimized sites can "feel" much like an app, and these HTML5 apps typically deliver more business value at lower cost, compared with an installed "native" app. A single development effort supports a variety of phones, including iPhones, Android phones, and the latest Blackberry and Windows phones.

There are times when an installable native app is the right solution, so we provide native app development services as well. We specialize in content-focused apps that use the PhoneGap and Titanium frameworks to leverage an HTML5 and CSS3 code base.

Tablet Apps for Content Delivery

Apps for iPads and Android tablets can be especially valuable for delivering content to a sales team or other group of business users.

The flexible database built into the Webvanta CMS provides a great platform for organizing the content, which can then be both presented on a regular website and delivered to a custom app to be stored locally on a tablet (or phone).
