I am delighted to announce that Webvanta has new owners, who have a deep commitment to serving all of Webvanta’s customers.

When I was diagnosed with cancer last November, it was clear that I needed to find a new corporate home for Webvanta that would ensure stability for our customers. We have been through extensive explorations with potential partners, and the company that now owns Webvanta, Xfive.co Pty Ltd., could not be a better match.

Xfive includes a team of designers, developers, and managers who can not only make sure you have the support you need, they can offer new levels of service and capabilities.

How the New Ownership Affects You

The short answer is, only in positive ways.

Xfive is committed to ongoing support and enhancements for the Webvanta Cloud CMS, so nothing about how you manage your website is going to change. At least initially, you’ll file support tickets and make payments just as before. Eric Leuschner, Chad Johnson, and Charity Grace Kirk will continue to support you.

It will take a few weeks for the details to settle down, but the key elements of the transition are complete, and I couldn’t be happier with how it has all gone.

Meet Xfive

Xfive is committed to continuing to pursue my vision for Webvanta, and I am grateful that Xfive will carry the Webvanta torch into the future.

Xfive is making a major investment in building a new presence in the San Francisco area, and this acquisition is part of that strategic effort. Xfive’s team of 50 includes front-end developers, back-end developers, designers, and digital marketing experts. The main development office is in Krakow, Poland, with additional team members mainly in the U.S. and Australia. Being part of Xfive will give you access to more development resources with the US-based management and support you are accustomed to.

X-company, the parent company of Xfive, is based in Australia. X-company has more than 150 employees, including the 50 who are part of Xfive. A key reason for my enthusiasm about Xfive is that Dave Rosen, X-company’s founder, shares my approach to business. Dave is focused on making the world a better place, both through creating companies that are great places to work and through service to customers.

There’s a lot more to say about Xfive, but I will let Milosz Bazela, head of Xfive, pick up from here.

You’re in Great Hands

Although my cancer has made it impossible to stay involved with Webvanta, I rest easy knowing that our customers are in good hands, with a company that shares my focus on customer service, exceptional websites, and happy employees.

Please address any questions about the change of ownership to xfive@webvanta.com, and we’ll forward your message to the right people.

Wishing you a long and enjoyable relationship with Xfive,

Michael Slater
Cofounder, Webvanta Inc.
