HTML and CSS are the heart of the web. If you aren't comfortable with them, your ability to design web sites and create web content is severely limited.

Even if you depend on others to do much of the technical work for you, your understanding of the web and your ability to evolve sites that you've designed will improve dramatically when you have a good grasp of these two key technologies.

By the end of this four-week class, we guarantee that you'll be comfortable writing HTML and doing simple styling with CSS. And you'll be up-to-date on the latest HTML5 and CSS3 techniques.

HTML5 and CSS3

Watch at Your Own Pace

This course is currently offered only in recorded form. You can watch the recordings at your own pace, and download the sample code files so you can follow along.

You'll be invited to join an online group, where the instructors will answer questions and you can meet your fellow students.

Who This Course is For

This class is intended for anyone who may know a little HTML and CSS, but is not an experienced HTML coder. If you can recognize an <h1> tag and a <p> tag, you have the prerequisites for this class.

People with a modest amount of HTML experience will find some of the material to be a review, and can reinforce that knowledge while learning about the lastest (but production-ready) features in HTML5 and CSS3.
