Google now allows you to specify the canonical URL for a page in each page’s markup, so if you have multiple URLs pointing the same content, you can now control which URL shows up in Google’s search results. Duplicate content worries are also greatly reduced by this change; all URLs that access the page are supposed to aggregate to create the page rank of the canonical URL.
